PINK LADIES DAY
Despite the news from RWWA that MBTC was to abandon the race meeting for the 21st the resilient MBTC committee opted to continue with the fun and festivities of the 'Michelle Parsons' Pink Ladies Day.
A huge crowd showd their love and support for the club and a fun filled afternoon of novelty events, running races, karaoke, sky channel and on course betting amused everyone who attended.
Best Dressed Lady and Fashion of the Field winner was local girl Mrs Renae Pearce. Renae looked stunning in her hot pink dress and was a clear standout winner on the day being presented with the $1600 Gold fob-bracelet kindly donated by 'Leading Edge Jewellers', Formosa Flora Flowers, Mortgage Gallery, Rainbow Coast Insurance & Plantagenet Meats.
Kristy St Jack was awarded the Ryan Waugh Hairdressing voucher for Runner-up and Melanie Dayman received a gorgeous bunch of flowers from Hot House Flowers.
The TOP 10 ladies were awarded a small prize of the fashionable STARLETTOS donated by the Sydney based company.
Best Hat winner Toni Skinner was awarded the 'Collections of Mt Barker' voucher.
Best Dressed Man - Fred Mentha stepped out in his finest to win the Duggin's voucher for first place.
In the Best dressed girl 16yrs & under was 1st -Tiarna Wallinger, 2nd -Lay La Pearce and 3rd - Georgia Pearce. Tiarna won a gorgeous headband/fascinator donated by local millinist Laura Williamson from 'Millihalo'.
